Take the underground MRT to Phahon Yothin station. Leave at EXIT 3 (Central Plaza Lat Phrao).
As you emerged like an exquisite creature from the escalator, you will see a Tweety Bird yellow building on your right across the road. This is Union Mall, one of the favourite hangout malls for Thai teens and young adults looking for fashion on the cheap. Almost every shirt, pant, skirt and blouse is yours for 300 Baht or less. Which makes for a lot of impulse and regretful buys.
Go up the bridge where there are always three doggy residents lying about, oblivious to everything, including your striking presence. Walk straight into the ultra unglamorous Union Mall entrance ahead.
If you turn left at the intersection of the bridge before reaching Union Mall, it will lead to Central Plaza, which is extremely long and huge. I strongly recommend a visit. Its basement of shops are pretty interesting compared to the other Central malls.
