And so it should be. You don't just wanna go all the way to Victory Monument to sample the much talked-about boat noodles, do you? Which was why I squeaked a little when I accidentally chanced upon this boat noodle stall on my way to Union Mall and Central Mall Lad Phrao. The tiny bowls are even stacked multi-storey high on a mini-wooden boat in case you have doubts as to what they are selling.
It is located under this green tentage which houses a long row of different street food stalls as you approach Central Mall Lad Phrao. You alight at Phahon Yothin MRT station, exit where the sign says Central Mall Lad Phrao, go up the bridge about 200 metres ahead and as you are approaching Union Mall, turn left. Before you go down the stairs, you should be able to see the long green teenage on your left.
Because the boat noodles are really tiny in portions, you'll have enough stomach capacity to try many of the other goodies from the rest of the stalls as well.
There is ample seating amongst the stalls and the pictures of each dish is magnified on huge banners, with the pricing listed beside them. As you can see, most are below 50 baht.
