Yum Saap is a big restaurant chain with about 50 branches in and around Bangkok (I have spotted them in Phuket too). They specialise in Northeastern Thai (Isan) cuisine. I recall I like their Coconut Frostie cos it's not too sweet and it is one of those restaurants I first tried eggplant salads and love it till now.
Their latest branch is at Siam Square One. I walked by and was happy to note there are three new dishes I would love to try on my next visit.
Rambutan salad with shrimp - doesn't it sound so decadent already? I just love the inclusion of fruits in salads and cooked dishes. The mix of grind(?) rice with my favourite pork basil dish is surely a stroke of genius?!
Crispy (not crisoy) pork skin is just way too sinful to eat. It's also a sin not to eat it!
I'll have to say NO! to any salted crab in any som tum (papaya salad). I've given it three chances and each time, the way the mini crab is prepared is just not palatable to me. It's waaay too raw and pungent for my tastebuds.
